Today, I choose to praise the Lord. The words of Psalm 150 fill my heart.
Praise the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens. Praise him for his acts of power; praise him for his surpassing greatness. Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet, praise him with the harp and lyre, praise him with tambourine and dancing, praise him with the strings and flute, praise him with the clash of cymbals, praise him with resounding cymbals. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord
Today, my life is not perfect. One child has a sore throat and another a runny nose. Taxes are due soon and I have been working on gathering information. We woke up late, because the little one had a rough night of sleeping, which meant we had a rough night of sleeping.
I could choose to focus on these circumstances or I could choose to look up to heaven and praise my Lord, who never leaves me or forsakes me. In my circumstances, He gives me opportunities. The opportunity to minister to my children’s health. The opportunity to snuggle with my baby. The opportunity to be thankful to live in a free country, which even with all it’s faults and struggles is still a wonderful place to live.
Lord, today I choose to Praise You.
