This year I am embarking on a journey to declutter our home. This section of the attic is the first area I cleaned, because it is all things Christmas. Since I was just bringing up all Christmas 2019 holiday ornaments, lights, gift wrap and decorations to the attic to store for next year, it seemed like a good time to go through everything and get rid of anything that was no longer being used. After I was finished, I had one large bag of trash and two bags of recycle. It was a great first step in the process.
To help me achieve my declutter goal, I signed up for the ‘Uncluttered Course’ at http://www.becomingminimalist.com. I first heard about this twelve week course last fall when my sister went through it. At the time, I also set decluttering goals for problem areas around my house, took ‘before’ pictures and set about decluttering/straightening. By the end of the year, I had conquered all of my problem areas. It was so encouraging that I decided to take the course myself and work through the entire house. The course kicks off today.
Do you feel overwhelmed by your clutter? I sure do. Join me on my journey as I post before and after pictures….
